Oil on composition board. 70x100cm framed. I did this painting whilst in Covid 19 lockdown 2020. I began painting it soon after I was given the nine gorgeous sunflowers by my sister. I decided that it had to be large (almost life size) in order to keep me busy for the next few weeks. Indeed it did take weeks to complete, and by the time I had finished, the blooms were not as gorgeous as they once were. FOR SALE

This was a commission which I painted largely from life. The stunning flowers however don’t last long. Pen and watercolour and acrylic on linen – an unusual rendering but suitable for this subject I thought.
